De Molen – Balcones Edition 2023 Imp. Stout

What if you combine an Imperial Stout with Balcones barrels? This results in a nicely balanced yet very complex barrel aged beer. The complexity is due to the combination of the wood flavors and a quirky light acidity of the used malts, tannins and a slightly fruity touch. Because the flavors are not too heavy, it can be called very accessible and can therefore be a good entry into the world of barrel aged beers.
