When we agreed with the guys from Ārpus brewery to brew a big fruited stout, we knew it’s not going to be an easy feat, but we didn’t quite expect to brew from morning to morning. Sometimes it’s worth it though – mainly when it gets you robust, velvety imperial stout where molasses and dark chocolate mingle with gingerbread and smoky fruitiness of prunes that intensifies as the beer warms up in your glass. It was a long night indeed, but we’re always glad to push our limits for a good cause!
