As we roll further down the road to total madness we bumped into something, again, that is totally worth stopping by: Flódni, a Jewish pastry, one of the best cakes you could ever try. It’s a heavily layered treat filled with apple, plum, poppyseed, walnut, citrus zests and cinnamon. We managed to translate this creation into a thick, fully packed, sweet dessert beer that was aged in Cuban and Jamaican rum barrels for more than a year to get extra spicy. It’s a perfect union of (not so) contrary things!
